Chicken Souvlaki
Chicken Souvlaki
  • ½ kg skinless, boneless chicken breast
  • ½ kg white yogurt Spitiko 8% fat
  • rosemary sprigs
For the sauce:
  • ½ glass lemon juice
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • rosemary
  • oregano
  • basil
  • salt and pepper

  1. Slice the chicken in cubes and let it marinate in yogurt for a few hours (maximum 12 hours).
  2. Drain chicken pieces and pass them in rosemary sprigs.
  3. If you want, you can add vegetables, like zucchini or peppers, among chicken cubes. Just pass a slice of selected vegetable in the rosemary sprig and then a chicken cube and continue sequentially.
  4. Grill the chicken souvlaki, turning often. It is ready when the chicken is slightly browned and firm.
  5. To prepare the sauce, mix the lemon juice, some oil, salt, pepper and the herbs.
  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken souvlaki and serve.
